The New York-based real estate development and investment firm confirmed Wednesday it completed an $850 million capital raise. Raymond James led the equity private raise for the capital placement while Wells Fargo was in charge of managing the funding. Thanks to the capital raise, Dreamscape will finance a multi-phase renovation of its iconic Rio Hotel & Casino Las Vegas property.

This was Dreamscape’s first gaming property which the company acquired from Caesars Entertainment back in 2019. Famous as the first all-suite hotel to open in Las Vegas back in 1990, Rio Hotel & Casino holds a leadership position within the rich history of the gambling capital of the world.

Dreamscape confirmed it will modernize the two-tower venue and bring new amenities for the guests of the venue. At the same time, the company confirmed it plans to preserve the location’s rich legacy while ensuring supreme experiences for the visitors. It’s important to mention that the property will not be closed during the renovation.

Besides the renovation, the capital raise will contribute toward the launch of two new Dreamscape platforms. Those are Dreamscape Entertai…

In Australia and beleaguered casino operator Crown Resorts Limited has reportedly announced that it is now hoping to premiere the gambling element within its new Crown Sydney development ‘early in the new year’.

According to a report from the Reuters news service, the Sydney-listed firm used an official filing to declare that the forecast comes as it has made ‘good progress’ in implementing a number of reforms recommended last year following the completion of an investigation chaired by former New South Wales Supreme Court Judge Patricia Bergin.

Prodigious problems:

Crown Resorts Limited is already responsible for casinos within its Crown Perth and Crown Melbourne facilities and had been hoping to open its 75-story Crown Sydney by the end of last year complete with a large selection of gaming tables. However, this timeline was subsequently scuppered after the official probe found that the company may have been complicit in a slew of money laundering allegations tied to its former use of foreign junket firms.

Missing member:

Despite this setback and Crown Resorts Limited purportedly went ahead and opened most of the non-gambling elements wit…

This is not a drill: Following Helldivers 2’s latest balancing patch and, hours before that, sightings of mysterious motherships, two new threats have appeared on Automaton planets.

The largest is the Factory Strider, a colossal, four-legged walker that represents a new class of enemy in the robot wars. Second are gunships, quick-moving variants of the bot dropships that rain down fire from the skies.

An early field report from Reddit user CappedPluto suggests the Factory Strider is essentially a mobile fortress for the Automatons—it’s packing large laser cannons, mounted miniguns, and a factory capable of spawning Devastators on-the-move. The worst part? “No easy to find vents,” Pluto says.

Meanwhile, new gunships are attacking divers in swarms. Despite our assumptions that the cloaked ships in the skies of robot space were gunships, the true culprits are smaller and travel in packs. Not as much is known about these, but they fire lasers and missiles. According to user Bigglettt, gunships also have a “nest” of sorts.

“They also have dropship facilities (fabricators) which need to be killed by a hellbomb,” the…

A JRPG oddity has made its way onto Steam, an comedic fantasy buddy cop RPG that’s about some weird, extremely asocial demons battling in a city falling down around their ears. You’re a trashy rat creature, you have no idea what’s going on, and your job is to climb a tower—but you’ll need to make some friends (and enemies) to get there.

The real sell here is that it’s got some decent laughs and writing, but more than anything that it’s just pretty dang cool looking. The kind of gutterpunk, trashy modern demon aesthetic is rich with ideas for characters, and the game looks to deliver mobster rats, investigator chickens, and various other weird-as-heck denizens in spades.

I mean really, there’s some dudes who are like… water buffalos, I guess? With boomboxes? They kind of dress like an 80s street crew. It’s goofy as hell and I love it.

The playable characters will include “a self-loathing party fowl, a disembodied diva, a remorseless sausage thief, a totally jacked, luchador duck, a self-righteous robber-baroness, and some sort of weird, purple rabbit/goblin/rat thing.” Okay yeah that’s good, I like that list a lot.

The plot is about your crew of we…
